Baker Johnson and the Johnson Brothers were the owners of an Iron Works Plantation called The Catoctin Furnace. Before Baker Johnson died in 1811, he wrote a will allocating this slaves to his family. Out of the 70+ slaves one was named Sook and another was named Betty. Delbra’s Sook of Jefferson Georgia had a daughter named Betty so this propelled Delbra to determine if the two Sooks were actually the same person. In this session I present information to help support this “theory”.
